Head of Programmes, Economist Events
Economist Events runs more than 40 events per year in Europe, Middle East and Africa for people who are passionate about the day's leading issues. Our events range from government roundtables to functional and business events. Each provides an ideal setting for open, informed debate with a uniquely global perspective. We seek speakers who will inform and inspire; sponsors eager to progress new thinking and an audience keen to discuss, debate and learn.
You will work within our thriving events business, and will be responsible for devising, researching and delivering of the programming output for The Economist Events in Europe, Middle East and Africa. You will manage the in-house team of event programmers, build external and internal networks which support the growth of the business and work with heads of sponsorship, marketing and operations to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
You will have a proven track record of programming and delivering a portfolio of events specifically in Europe, the Middle East and Africa across a variety of topics. You will have demonstrable experience in an editorial environment, including not only researching and developing existing and new products, but also chairing, interviewing and copywriting. You will have managerial experience and excellent interpersonal skills.
