Job Summary
Cardno Hard & Forester are a multi-disciplinary consulting surveying practice founded in 1982. Cardno Hard & Forester combines the surveying strength and experience of Hard & Forester and the national coverage and resources of Cardno into one dynamic organisation. The practice offers a complete range of professional surveying services, specialising in major projects covering all stages from strategic planning, feasibility assessment, detailed design, construction and asset management.
Due to continued growth we are seeking an enthusiastic Surveyor to join our team based in Cardno’s Newcastle office. This position will report into Cardno Hard & Forester’s Rockdale office and be supported by the NSW/ACT Division to encourage growth within the Hunter Region. This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to play a leading role in managing project teams as well as play an integral role in the growth of the business within Newcastle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new and existing client relationships within the Newcastle area
- Effectively liaise with peers and managers based in the Sydney, Rockdale office to ensure project deliverables are achieved
- Maintain direct liaison with clients relating to job programs and preparation of appropriate project reports (monthly, quarterly, final project report, etc)
- Ensure project deliverables are completed within the required timeframes and to a high standard
- Ensure project deliverables are managed in line within the organisations Quality Management and OHS systems
- Utilise skills in AutoCAD, 12D, Microstation and GIS software packages
Other Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Surveying
- Sound technical knowledge in the field of Surveying
- Ability to manage projects and small project teams
- Client focus
- Registered Surveyor would be advantageous but not essential
- Demonstrate creativity, initiative, and judgment in anticipating and solving design issues
- Ability to work to deadlines and complete allocated tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously
