Job Summary
TSSLP is seeking an experienced, motivated professional to join our team in the new role of Research and Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant, to assist in establishing baseline data for our monitoring and evaluation system. The TSSLP is an initiative of AusAID, together with several stakeholders in Tonga, including the Ministry of Education, Women’s Affairs and Culture, the Principals Association, the Institute of Education (University of South Pacific) and the Civil Society Forum of Tonga. TSSLP’s goal is to enhance the management and leadership capabilities of Principals to support schools to initiate, evaluate and sustain change that ultimately contributes to raising levels of student performance and achievement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist our M&E specialist in establishing a baseline.
- In collaboration with the TSSLP team, support the finalisation / development of data collection tools.
- Collect quantitative and qualitative data.
- Support the analysis of data in line with the M&E framework.
- Prepare records / reports / presentations on the learning associated with TSSLP.
Other Requirements
- A degree in research, education or evaluation.
- Fluency in English and Tongan both written and oral.
- Competence in managing or writing evidenced based publications, articles or stories.
- Competence in qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis and report writing, including ability to use appropriate data analysis software.
Employee Benefits
Salary will be in the range of TOP 16,000 - 20,000 per annum pro rata.
