Finance Compliance Officer MD&D EMEA

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain local Compliance Strategy + promote within the team and company;
- Proactively identify operational and financial Risks within company + propose adequate and efficient Controls to mitigate gaps;
- Execute key control Training in accordance to Training Program for the company;
- Coordinate the enhancement, creation & implementation of standardized Regional Guidance packages for critical Control Activities within local environment;
- Execute the end to end SOX process for the companies, ensuring Corporate SOX deadlines are timely and effectively achieved;
- Create/maintain/update/align the standardized SOX Documentation package (DCMs, HOMs, SOX Plan, Test Scripts) + SOP's
- Coordinate the local compliance Corrective Action Plan process with the company and support local teams implement prior audit recommendations and other internal control gaps are closed timely + effectively;
- Become SME, from a compliance perspective, for one financial process for EMEA;
- Ensure financial processes and reporting is aligned with local and statutory regulations;
- Ensure full alignment with management & create strong business partnerships between all stakeholders;
- Look to optimize the business processes/operations impacted by compliance, through Continuous Improvement;
- Act as the SPOC for compliance and audit matters (CIA & PwC);
- Seek ways of exceeding internal Customer Satisfaction
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years post graduate experience, of which 2 years in "Big 4" company.
- Recognized accounting qualification such as CPA, CIA, CMA (preferred).
- Experience with leading Sarbanes-Oxley compliance efforts.
- Experience of accessing internal controls and communicating findings to a range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of J&J (MD&D) and Supply Chain (preferred).
- Fluency in English, plus another European language (preferably French or Dutch).
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards system preferred.
- Excellent communication/coordination and project management skills.
- Strong teamwork attributes in a virtual/remote working environment.
- Ability to look and perform "outside the box".
- "Can do" attitude: ability to manage complex and ambiguous situations with a strong business acumen and a strong customer orientation.
- Occasional travel.
- Able to demonstrate values consistent with J&J Credo evidenced through past experience.
