As Head of Education & Youth Engagement you will maximise the engagement and long term value of our relationships with teachers and young people by providing strong leadership and strategic thinking to our Education and Youth teams.
Working closely with communications, fundraising and programme staff in the UK and internationally you will develop our education and youth strategy, contribute to the management of the Communications Department as well as leading or supporting cross departmental public education projects.
We will look to you to inspire audience belief in our mission and values by overseeing the development of innovative, relevant and compelling content, communications, products and actions.
You will review strategy and tactics as well as develop new opportunities and partnerships to increase the engagement of teachers and young people with ActionAid’s work. In addition to managing a core Education and Youth team you will manage externally funded posts which support the work of the Send My Friend to School coalition campaign.
With a history of developing dynamic teams you will have extensive experience of strategy development within the education and youth sector. Your understanding of the education and youth market will be matched by expertise in developing strategies to engage a wide public audience.
Comfortable managing diverse and complex teams, you are an effective project manager with excellent communication and relationship building abilities. You will also be skilled at monitoring, evaluating and reporting on effectiveness.
