Job Placement & Microenterprise Coordinator
Friends-International (FI) is a social enterprise that works with marginalized urban children and youth, their families and communities, to help them become independent and productive citizens of their country.
FI is seeking a qualified Cambodian candidate to fill the position of Job Placement & Microenterprise Coordinator to work closely with our Training & Support for Employment and Entrepreneurship team (TSEE).
TSEE team works on providing individual support and training to families leading to income generating support to promote children’s school attendance and reduce family dependence on income from child labor.
Position overview
The Job Placement & Microenterprise Coordinator will work on supporting care takers for children to improve their family situation through providing vocational training, job opportunities and support in starting a micro enterprise.
JOB PLACEMENT & MICROENTERPRISE COORDINATOR will:
• Coordinate a team of social workers providing direct social services to the families
• Coordinate a team of trainers working on skills training to create more employment opportunities for the care takers
• Ensure individual tailored support and training to families leading to income generating support through permanent employment
• Ensure individual tailored support and training to families leading to income generating support through starting a micro enterprise
• Provide direct social services support to vulnerable children’s families to support improving their income
• Provide direct advice on how to run a successful microenterprise
Experiences and qualifications:
• University degree or technical school diploma
• Knowledge of NGO environment and direct social work services to children and families
• Technical knowledge in mechanics or hospitality or welding or beautician or sewing is a plus
• Experience in either running a business or working with job placement or working within the hospitality, mechanics, welding, beauty or sewing industry
• Knowledge of MS Office and experience user of the Internet
• English speaking and writing is a plus
• Communication skills, team player, reactive, problem solving abilities, creative (looking at different way to solve problems), flexible and dynamic.
Location: This position is based in Siem Reap
Duration: Full-time work
