PROGRAMME OFFICER

The total salary package for this position is £24,808 – £35,544 GBP (approx. $39,869 - $57,123 USD) including basic salary, hardship allowance and cost of living allowance (depending on location).

As a Programme Officer with MAG, you will undertake a wide range of activities including grant monitoring, evaluating of programme performance, report writing for donors and generally assisting the Country Director in ensuring the programmes meet their contractual requirements. The ability to develop and maintain information management systems is a key requirement for the role. Effective communication with the public and external partners will also be a core function of the role and successful candidates will need experience in these areas of work.
Successful candidates will also have experience of working overseas in international aid or development and be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimum supervision. The ability to work in dynamic teams of national and international staff and produce written material of a highest quality is essential. In addition, you must be able to prioritise a heavy workload to meet deadlines. Due to the countries in which MAG works, you will also need to be able to demonstrate awareness of personal security, cultural sensitivities and a diplomatic manner.

• Leave: We recognise our staff work hard and need the appropriate time out to stay motivated. You'll have a minimum of six weeks out of the programme per year.
