Position Summary

This role is responsible for the modeling and structuring of origination opportunities. This role is also responsible for running and validating proprietary models for storage and transportation assets and working with Mid office on implementing the value into Endur. 

Other responsibilities include providing quantitative research to traders to support trading decisions. Role also requires ad-hoc market analysis and presentations as needed.

Other duties include providing economic and content support to regional business development efforts and adherence to all company trading and related governance/HSSE/CR policies.

Key Accountabilities

1. Modeling
Develop quantitative models for mid-market structures in support of trading and origination. 

2. Daily Models
Run daily proprietary trading models for storage, transportation, and asset management optimization.

3. Research
Provide traders with quantitative research to support trading decisions.

4. Economics
Provide content and economic support to regional business development efforts with MLO elements.

5. Market Development Analysis
Role also requires ad-hoc market analysis, presentations, and papers as required.

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute

Experience Needed:
 
-Bachelors degree in finance, economics, quantitative methods or similar field. Masters degree preferred in mathematics, economics or finance, but not required.
-Three to five years analyst experience in natural gas industry 
Knowledge, Languages, Skills and Attributes:
 
-Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, FEA analysis software, Risk software, statistics and quantitative methods
-Knowledge of natural gas derivative instruments and their application for trading and risk management
-Understanding of US gas market, associated infrastructure, and basis differential drivers
-Understanding of corporate finance principles and energy accounting standards
-Working level knowledge of natural gas regulation
