Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Scholarships , 2014

There are many different funding opportunities for students studying the Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences (MPLS) at Oxford. Funding covering fees and living costs is available for fourteen doctoral training programmes, eight of which are new in October 2014. Research Council and other funding opportunities are also available for doctoral programmes in these areas.

Over 100 new Oxford Graduate Scholarships, supported by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and other donors, will be awarded to UK and EU postgraduate students who start their course at Oxford in 2014-15. The new scholarships will support the progression of students into a wide range of one-year, full-time and two-year, part-time master’s courses at the University of Oxford. Apply by the relevant January deadline for your course and if you get an offer of a place we will be in touch with more information.
Part-time Courses
Oxford offers many opportunities for part-time postgraduate study, with over 1,500 students enrolled on part-time master’s, postgraduate certificate and diploma courses, and doctoral programmes. These are available through a number of departments, including the Department for Continuing Education’s Graduate School. A range of scholarships are available to students on these courses.

You need to apply by the relevant deadline:
  • Friday 10 January 2014 – courses offered in the Medical Sciences, Computer Science, Philosophy, Politics and International Relations, and the SaĆÆd Business School
  • Friday 24 January 2014 – courses offered by all other departments

To be considered for most of our scholarships, you don’t need to do anything else.
