Global Fundraising Manager
Amnesty International (AI) is looking for a Global Fundraising Manager based in our newly formed Global Fundraising and Engagement Directorate at the Amnesty International Secretariat. We provide strategic support to AI sections to deliver effective growth strategies aiming to increase the number of people supporting us and the amount of money that is raised. AI has embarked upon an ambitious growth strategy and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in achieving the goals.
To be successful in this crucial role you will need to be ambitious, target oriented, able to make clear links between global and national strategies and communicate this clearly and convincingly. You have proven management skills and will use these to enable the regional team to work efficiently and successfully. You will have worked extensively and at a senior fundraising level and will be able to demonstrate how you can use your experience to grow fundraising income for AI. You will need to possess great influencing and relationship-building skills, willing to travel internationally, know how to build compelling business cases and want to help AI grow its fundraising income globally.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful candidate will Support the fundraising activities in priority markets in the movement, identifying opportunities for investment in strategic support and resources that will facilitate and drive direct fundraising activities across Amnesty International.
Manage the ambitious and driven Regional Fundraising Support Team which consists of three Regional Fundraising Managers based in London (Regional Manager for Europe), Mexico City (Regional Manager for the Americas) and Hong Kong (Regional Manager for Asia).
Manage and ensure good stewardship of the movement’s fundraising resources, strengthening accountability for the Fundraising Investment Fund.
Ensure effective delivery of an integrated program of support, including training and skill-sharing in support of the movement’s overall growth strategies.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience of managing detailed fundraising or marketing income and expenditure plans and associated budgets for not-for-profit organisations. You will need demonstrable experience of developing and implementing fundraising and/or marketing activities as well as ability to compile and present reports and documents for a wide range of audiences. You must be able to demonstrate consistent success in using a broad range of fundraising and/or marketing techniques, such as direct marketing, including supporter/customer recruitment and development, individual giving, legacies, foundations and major gifts to achieve long term fundraising or marketing goals. Preferably you will have experience of working in an international environment.
