Core Services is now looking for an IT Service Architect for a position that provides opportunities to design service solutions that are relevant and fit-for-purpose to give our business areas necessary tools for their operations. You also influence and actively take part in the journey of moving Sandvik IT towards the next generation of data center services, including growth of cloud and software defined services. We aim to provide service components packaged in the most efficient way to enable flexibility and transparency for our customers, as well as to have clearly defined and documented services that are correctly priced, measurable and reported on.
This position is preferably to be located in Kista, and some travel to Sandviken will be required.
Job Summary
As an IT Service Architect for Data Center services you are responsible for ensuring service designs that fit our Service Strategy - for both new and existing solutions - and that we meet our internal customer requirements as well as securing the requirements are in line with the overall architecture framework, IT principles and policies. Another important part of this role is to identify which solutions, processes and competencies are necessary to provide a certain service, and you maintain and improve the services in accordance with the IT architectural guidelines and constraints. As a Service Architect you also write service descriptions, defines service levels such as SLO’s and KPI’s, identifies cost drivers and align pricing models to these. You also collaborate with the service owner and other stakeholders when calculating total cost of ownership (TCO).
Furthermore, you are responsible for coordinating our team of architects to ensure progress of assignments and you take part in the Service Design and Service Transition processes. You may also be involved in other assignments, for example supporting application development projects with architectural design matters.
Some travel might be needed.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's in IT or equivalent knowledge gained through experience. You have more than five years’ experience as a solution architect in bid teams, building IT solutions as a service: including writing service descriptions, calculating TCO and defining meaningful SLOs and KPIs. You are a certified IT architect with vast experience from working in a process-oriented organization. Experience from service delivery in a global outsourced environment is advantageous, as is experience with data center services, IT Service Management (ITSM), ITIL, service reporting and outlining business cases. It is also preferred that you have experience from translating customer requirements into solutions and have knowledge from business systems continuity planning. As we operate in a global setting, you need to be fluent in English.
