Teacher Training College Primary Professional Development Program Specialist

The Program
Coffey is currently managing the Australian Aid funded Basic Education Quality and Access in Lao PDR (BEQUAL). The goal of BEQUAL is to ensure all girls and boys, especially those experiencing disadvantage, complete a quality basic education to achieve literacy, numeracy and other life skills. The program will address education policy, planning and coordination, increased child participation in and access to basic education, teacher education, curriculum and materials development and improved school infrastructure.
Coffey through BEQUAL is currently seeking applications for this specialist position to support with teacher education and curriculum development activities.
The Position
This position will provide short term inputs to support the BEQUAL advisers and MoES colleagues in implementing various aspects of the TTC Primary Professional Development Program, including support with writing sections of modules, developing materials for teacher training and delivering workshops for teacher educators.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have a Masters degree in Education and demonstrated experience in pre-service teacher education for primary teachers, including experience developing materials and conducting workshops. A strong interest or previous experience applying your expertise in a developing country context and ability to mentor colleagues from diverse backgrounds is required for success.
