Mid and Senior Level Database Developers
dTS is recruiting skilled professionals to serve as Database Developers on task orders to be issued under the USAID multi-sector Transparency, Accountability and Performance (TAP) IQC. Database Developers will create management systems to provide effective and efficient access to information stored in databases. They will provide expertise and guidance in the design, implementation and maintenance of database management systems. Key tasks include: defining system requirements; determining how the data should be organized; developing data models and database architecture; constructing, installing, and testing the database system; writing user’s manuals; preparing reports on the database; and training users and providing technical support. Database Developers will interface with the Government and Task Order clients to understand their needs and communicate with them throughout the development process.
We are seeking qualified mid- to senior-level applicants who meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or in another discipline with a significant programming component, such as mathematics, commerce, business administration or a college program in computer science (required)
- Minimum of 3-5 (mid-level) or at least 5 (senior level) years of recent experience working on database projects at the corporate level of government, private industry or non-governmental agencies. (required)
- Familiarity with USAID and large implementing donors across cultures (required)
- Overseas experience (strongly preferred)
- Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing in English (required)
- Fluency in another language (strongly preferred)
- Detail oriented and organized
- Good problem solving skills
- Team oriented individual
- High level of proficiency in MS Office applications
