Chief Works Manager: Electrical Facilities Management

CHIEF WORKS MANAGER: ELECTRICAL FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
Salary: R174 117 per annum (Ref. 2011/541)
Polokwane Regional Office

Requirements:
• Appropriate Bachelor's degree/National Diploma or equivalent qualification in the Electrical field, coupled with appropriate experience in a technical field or an appropriate N3 plus Trade Test and 3 years' technical experience • Valid driver's licence • Knowledge and understanding of the PFMA, OHSA, National Building Regulations, ECA, ECSA as well as Government Procurement System • Willingness to travel and work irregular hours • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Duties: • Perform day-to-day maintenance work in the electrical works management component • Prepare comprehensive maintenance plans for all properties in the portfolio • Manage minor works and unplanned maintenance requests from clients
• Compile and prepare scope of works estimates and technical reports (conditions surveys) • Liaise with clients with regard to electricity-related matters • Monitor electricity consumption • Ensure that all electricity installations are tested and Certificates of Compliance are obtained • Prepare tender documentation • Verify and certify invoices for contracts • Ensure compliance with OHSA • Prepare and compile monthly reports as requested by the Control Works Manager.
