Assistant Director: Bid Administration

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: BID ADMINISTRATION
Salary: R206 982 per annum (Ref. 2011/542)

Requirements:
• Tertiary qualifications and appropriate working experience • Sound knowledge of supply chain management, Government procurement, the Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations and Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act • Computer literacy • Valid Code 08 driver's licence • Project management skills • Ability to work independently • Willingness to undergo a security clearance.

Duties: • Provide administrative management support to the Acquisition Management Unit under the Supply Chain Management Unit, ensuring compliance with all Acts of Parliament, Treasury Regulations, policies, directives and standard operating procedures related to the functions of the Unit • Manage the functions related to the invitation, receiving and evaluation/adjudication of quotations • Serve as a member of the Bid Specification Committees to develop a Request for Approval of the Bid Procurement Strategy • Ensure that the bid and quotation documents are correctly compiled in terms of the standard operating procedures • Compile administrative responsiveness criteria for bids and quotations of other procurement specialists • Convene and chair Bid Evaluation Committee meetings and compile the Bid Point Scoring Workbook • Render secretarial duties to the Regional and Sub-bid Adjudication Committees.
