Expert - Sustainable Transport REC

The Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe (REC) is inviting applications for its Expert - Sustainable position.

European cities are encouraged to develop sustainable urban transport plans. The expert will contribute to the implementation of several EC-financed projects in sustainable urban transport. Responsibilities will include contributing to outreach work on behalf of the CIVITAS Initiative; supporting the preparation of information materials about CIVITAS cities; and contributing to the organisation of seminars/training workshops and conferences in collaboration with outside partners. The position, situated within the REC’s Green Transport Topic Area, will involve managing multiple assignments and may involve supervising project staff. The expert will also support other in-house projects and be responsible for developing new projects and their respective budgets and proposing project teams. He/she may also handle relations with clients, donors and beneficiaries.
