HelpAge International is a global network of not for profit organisations with a mission to work with and for disadvantaged older people in developing countries. HelpAge International has a vision of a world where older people fulfill their potential to lead active, dignified, healthy and secure lives.

HelpAge has relationships with and funding from only a limited number of UK trusts and foundations, and no corporate supporters, and believes there is much potential to develop and increase these income streams.

The Programme Funding Officer will contribute to developing and diversifying HelpAge's resource base with a particular focus on increasing income from trusts, foundations and corporate.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of building relationships with and securing funding from trusts and foundations, including the Big Lottery Fund and Comic Relief and reviewing, writing and presenting project proposals, formal applications and donor reports. An understanding of project planning and implementation, excellent communication, analytical and research skills as well as Fluent in English and Spanish are all essential for this role.
