Regional Programme Manager

Location: Addis Ababa, Dar es Salaam, Kampala or Kigali (depending on the applicant)

Join our brand new teams across Africa, and you'll help us build on what we’ve achieved in our 30-year history – changing the way people think about water and sanitation, and putting these issues higher on the agenda than they've ever been. In this way, you’ll help us transform the lives of millions of Africa's most vulnerable people, as you bring about change that's never been seen in the region before.

You'll maximise our effectiveness in East Africa region – leading on our programme planning, effectiveness and overall impact. You'll see to it that our country teams have the support they need to operate effectively, and will explore opportunities to work collaboratively with other organisations. It's a great opportunity to change how water and sanitation services are delivered and drive massive long term change for the poorest and most vulnerable citizens.

Either a senior programme manager working at national level or a regional programme manager with extensive experience in East Africa or a similar developing region, you'll be adept at remote management and monitoring of the whole programme cycle including the development of standards, tools and approaches. You must have the credibility and communications skills to impress and influence partners and issues. Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Education (WASH) knowledge and experience in related sector including capacity building and research would be an advantage.
