The University of Southampton has completed a major re-structuring of its Professional Services. The Faculty of Engineering & the Environment is now seeking applications for the full-time post of Administrative Officer.

You will work as part of the newly formed Faculty Administration & Assessment team, providing support across a range of tasks from the enrolment and induction of new students, selection of teaching modules, examinations, progression, and graduation.

You will have excellent communication skills, and be well-organised with the ability to multi-task. You will be required to work pro-actively within the team, being responsive to students' needs with the aim of improving our administration for students and their teachers. You will be able to work independently, demonstrate close attention to detail, and enjoy the challenge of shaping your work in a fast-moving environment.

You must be a competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience of working with databases would be an advantage.
