Based Cairo

Salary: £34,824 per annum plus benefits (including free accommodation, pension provision and medical insurance)

We are looking to recruit an English Project Specialist to manage the successful delivery of the high profile “English language skills training for Young People” Project and, working with key stakeholders in the education and commercial sector, to establish a strategic vision for English in Egypt. This work will be informed by a base line study, to be conducted in collaboration with ministries of Education in the first year to gauge the current level of proficiency of teachers and students at key points in the educational process, and policy dialogue events. They will then support working parties to develop a set of national work plans with the different educational sectors to achieve the vision that will be informed by the models for face to face and on-line teacher training to 4000 master trainers and teachers over the two year period of this post.

You will have: a diploma in ELT; a strong background in English Language teaching and Teacher Training/Development; experience in the development of educational strategy or involvement with high level government agencies planning educational reform initiatives; and project management skills including financial management. It is desirable that you have: a masters in ELT, Education or Development Management.
