Assistant in the Finance Department Transparency International (TI)

Transparency International (TI) is the global civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption. Through more than 90 chapters worldwide and an international secretariat in Berlin, Germany, TI raises awareness of the damaging effects of corruption and works with partners in government, business and civil society to develop and implement effective measures to tackle it.

The Finance Department at Transparency International Secretariat is looking for a part-time Assistant.

Main function:

Assistance to Finance Department

Starting date:

As soon as possible

Duration:

Part-time / Temporary job (10-14 hours weekly limited for 1 year)

Reporting lines:

Reports to Finance Director


Responsibilities:

  • Assistance in a wide range of activities on departmental projects including the preparation for project audits
  • Copying, scanning and filing of documents
  • Helping in the preparation of various reports -internal and external
  • Data collection and management
  • General assistance to Finance Department including helping with the processes dealing with travel cost reimbursements

Knowledge, experience and skills:

  • Ability to deal accurately with data
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Excel essential
  • Intercultural communication skills
  • Strong English verbal communication and writing skills
  • Good team player
  • Willingness to learn fast, take responsibility and engage

TI Secretariat reserves the right to appoint to another staff level subject to education and qualifications.
