The BIS seeks a Deputy Head for its Data Bank Services unit. You will have a strong track record in the compilation of macroeconomic statistics, backed by a thoroughgoing knowledge of international statistical methodologies.

Join us and put your expertise to work by helping to provide researchers at the BIS and central banks with a broad range of high-quality economic statistics. As part of your contribution to maintaining and managing the BIS Data Bank, you will lead projects to improve the international comparability of data and workflow efficiency.

We would like to meet candidates with a master’s degree in macroeconomics, monetary economics or finance, with several years’ experience as a statistician or economist at a central bank or international institution. Excellent English and drafting skills are essential; fluency in another major language would be an advantage.
