Proposal Writers for short term consultancies

SUMMARY:

Counterpart International is seeking multiple Proposal Writers for short term consultancies with willingness to travel. Prior experience with USAID, USDA, State Department and other donors required. The candidate should have strong technical depth and expertise with typical RFA/RFP requirements. Prior professional experience in proposal development in developing countries is a must.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Proposal Writer will work with the Proposal Lead and review RFAs/RFPs to understand technical requirements and donor expectations. Work with the Proposal Development Team, Finance Technical Staff and other Consultants to ensure proposals are developed in accordance with CADG’s quality standards. Review and edit the final technical proposal.

QUALIFICATIONS: Required • Experience working as the technical lead for writing RFPs for USAID, DFID, World Bank, US Government (USG) or equivalent • Strong track record in writing/editing/reviewing successful proposals for USAID and/or US Government funded programs • Degree in international relations, public administration, English or related field. • Minimum of five years previous work experience in developing countries. • Technical background and experience in livelihoods and environment. • Strong inter-personal skills and results orientation. • Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities under multiple deadlines and demands • High level of English fluency, both verbal and written.

Preferred • Willingness to travel to developing countries.
