We are seeking to appoint a Research Fellow to be based at our field site in Moshi, Tanzania. The main task will be to lead and supervise a team of assistants in the evaluation of a new type of LLIN for the control of resistant malaria vectors.

The Research Fellow will oversee a series of complex insecticide trials including phase 1 laboratory bioassays and phase 2 experimental hut field trials. The Research Fellow will also be responsible for liaising with project partners including LSHTM, KCMC, preparing regular reports and publications.

The applicant will be based in Moshi, Tanzania with occasionally travel to the UK for project meetings.

The post is available from 1st March 2012 and the contract will end on 28th February 2014. The salary is £32,025 per annum, plus a displacement allowance of £3,487 per annum if applicable.
