Barclaycard are currently recruiting for a Senior Compliance Manager to support Barclaycard Compliance strategy by delivery of the Barclaycard Compliance plan and objectives.
If successful, you will be required to help lead a team of managers, setting objectives aligned to the delivery of the Compliance plan as well as performing a coaching and development role. As well as this, will be responsible for enhancing the compliance culture within the organisation by developing and managing effective relationships with key business areas/stakeholders at all levels within Barclaycard. Working closely with the Barclaycard Compliance Director, Head of Product & Technical and other senior compliance managers you will be required to build and develop effective working relationships with regulators and other outside bodies.
We are looking for managers who can provide technical guidance, support and tailored feedback on regulatory issues to both the business and the Compliance Manager population, ensuring that new business proposals as well as existing processes, systems and controls comply with regulatory obligations and Barclays own standards and principles.
What you will need:
You will have a strong experience in regulatory compliance matters ideally in a financial services organisation or professional services organisation, We will also consider applicants who have performed roles in large organisations which have products or services governed by consumer or business regulations such as the following:
Broad and In depth technical compliance knowledge and the application of FSA rules and guidance in relation to Barclaycard
Working knowledge of key regulatory /consumer bodies including:
FSA
FLA
OFCOM
The Lending Standards Board
ICO
Office of Fair Trading
Financial Ombudsman Service
Ideal candidates will have a wide experience and understanding of the banking and financial services industry. Risk, accountancy and legal experience/qualifications will also be considered

Qualifications

Knowledge and Expertise
