Brand Manager - Package & Product Development

Responsible primarily for two key elements for NESTEA:

1) Providing strategic, analytical and business planning support for NESTEA

2) Innovation Manager responsible for working with global team around ideation, consumer testing and full commercialization of product and; package initiatives. This will also encompass the identification of long term innovation strategy and; opportunities based on consumer need states and occasions.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy

  • Contributes to Annual Business Planning Process for NESTEA: Situation Assessment, Strategic Analysis and Brand Plan Development;

  • Provides on-going analytics and strategic brand management support: includes Monthly Business Reviews, Ad hoc analysis, contributes to BVA development, etc.

Brand Innovation

  • Working with global team to Ideate, consumer test and develop Long Term Innovation Pipeline for NESTEA

  • Project manager for product and packaging initiatives identified by Senior brand manager NESTEA or Integrated Marketing Communications Manager who provide the approved business case;

  • Responsible for inputting information into the Clarity system and updating as required;

  • Responsible for managing product and package development project timelines and budgets;

  • Leverages Franchise Manager and leads cross functional product commercialization meetings to keep initiatives on track;

  • Optimizes new product/package opportunities within our System and ensures fit within OBBPC framework as defined by Commercial Strategy Manager;

  • Consults with Integrated Marketing Communications Managers in the development of integrated connection plans that support new product/package launches;

  • Conducts post evaluation of new product/package launches, consulting with K&I, Finance and other functional areas as required;

  • Shares opportunities/learning with other team members to help gain system efficiencies;

  • Ad Hoc projects as required/discussed with Manager.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

  • 6-8 Years of Brand Management experience

  • Robust Business Planning, Analytics and Innovation experience

  • Strong Project Management Skills from idea through to execution

  • Solid Financial Acumen

  • Strong influencing skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Knowledge of the Stages and; Gates process preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive and efficient

  • Solid problem solving skills

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, business or related field required

Travel Requirements

  • Approximately 10 to 15% travel in Canada and the U.S.

Relocation Assistance

  • Nominal relocation assistance is available only for moves within Canada
