International HIV/AIDS Alliance , Programme Officer: Research and Evaluation

The International HIV/AIDS Alliance supports communities to meet the challenges of AIDS and build healthier communities. Our vision is a world in which people do not die of AIDS. Since 1994, the Alliance and its partners have supported over 3,000 projects, in over 40 countries, reaching millions of people.
The Programme Officer: Monitoring and Evaluation will be responsible for working alongside a Programme Manager, Data Analyst and Support Officer to ensure the effective use of the Alliance Strategic Information System (SIS). The post holder will provide leadership within a dynamic Planning, Analysis and Learning (PAL) Unit by providing and helping to coordinate M&E technical support for Alliance secretariat and field based teams.
The successful candidate will have experience in monitoring and reporting systems used by international NGOs, and knowledge of the requirements for reporting to the major overseas development donors supporting HIV programming in regions and countries of Alliance focus. A proven track record of conducting analysis and synthesis of different types of data, research and learning will be a key asset. In addition to strong English language skills, the ability to communicate and provide technical support in another language relevant to the regions in which the Alliance works is strongly desirable.
