Plant Nutrition Specialist / Senior Agronomist
Responsibilities:
- Maximize and manage overall sales and business development activities within designated geographic area.
- Implement marketing strategies, training sessions, sales presentation and demonstration trials.
- Work closely with the international team to assist in building a process to promote agronomic solutions for our customers and stimulate global sales growth.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Effectively communicate, train and mentor people within the context of a diverse and growing agronomic marketplace.
- Identify, target and manage key distribution partners.
- Prepare and present technical data in meetings with peers, customers, suppliers, management and to global team members.
- Remain proactive to market threats and opportunities.
- Follow company policies and practices while representing BioAtlantis USA in an ethical and business-like manner in all interactions with employees, governmental agencies, growers and customers.
Requirements:
- Must have existing relationships and knowledge of growers in California State.
- Current knowledge of the California agriculture industry; agronomic sales, crop nutrition, crop protection, and speciality product offerings.
- Minimum of at least 3 years of active sales experience and a proven performance record; in agronomy/ horticulture related business.
- Understanding of markets, pricing strategies, ability to look at margins and profitability.
- Must be able to travel throughout region and other countries.
Education:
- Minimum of a BSc. in agronomy, plant science or horticulture with a good understanding of crop and soil management (irrigation, fertilization, salinity) or closely related field from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years related experience in the industry.
- Certified crop advisor.
- First language must be English and a fluency in Spanish would be beneficial.
