Sr. Operations Specialist The Asia Foundation

Under the direction of the Deputy Country Representative, the Senior Operations Specialist provides leadership for managing the growing operations and finances of the Foundation’s second-largest field office in Indonesia, covering security, office administration, fiscal management, donor compliance and grants management. The position supervises staff members in the grants, finance, and administration units. In consultation with the Country Representative, the Senior Operations Specialist also plays a role in representing The Asia Foundation to its numerous bi-lateral and multilateral partner institutions, particularly on issues related to compliance to donor regulations.

Requirements:

·Minimum ten years of progressively responsible professional experience, or the equivalent, in international development in Asia with bi-lateral or multi-lateral development institutions and non-profit organizations.

·Experience in developing/strengthening field office procedures and systems related to operational management, subgrants to partners, budget control, security and administration.

·Graduate degree in relevant field.

·Demonstrated grants management skills, and substantial experience in operations and security issues,

·Prior experience addressing the operational and management challenges of a growing field office desirable; experience in compliance with a highly diversified portfolio that includes USAID, DFID, AusAID and other major bi-lateral and multi-lateral donors;

·Team building and supervisory skills;

·Strong problem solving skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven interpersonal and intercultural skills. Fluent English and language proficiency in Indonesian required
