You must be educated to degree level (or equivalent), with excellent IT skills and experience of working in a customer-focused environment. A full clean UK driving licence is also essential.
Job Description
You will join the team responsible for providing Royal Household users with a courteous, technically correct and administratively accurate support service. As the first point of contact for callers to the Helpdesk, you will be responsible for:

• providing friendly and efficient service
• logging enquiries and undertaking investigative work to diagnose faults
• promoting good standards of IT practice across the organisation
• raising requisitions for required equipment and recording changes to the inventory
• administering user permissions
• assisting with installation, upgrade, migration and office move projects.

Person Specification
You must:

• be educated to degree level (or equivalent)
• have experience of working in a customer focused environment, ideally on an IT helpdesk
• be a computer ‘power user’ with the ability to resolve technical queries
• be knowledgeable in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of applications
• have excellent communication skills
• have a patient approach and the ability to assist users of varying IT literacy
• hold a full clean UK driving licence
• be methodical with accurate documentation skills and close attention to detail

Desirable:

• knowledge of ITIL standard / ITIL Foundation Training
• knowledge of any ticketing system
• knowledge of EPOS retail systems
• technical qualifications e.g MCP
