Job Description
The Royal Collection is one of the largest and most important art collections in the world, spread among some thirteen Royal residences and former residences across the UK. A number of Royal Collection departments are based at York House, in St James’s Palace and we are now seeking a Secretary / Receptionist, to provide efficient administrative support and manage the busy front desk.

You will:

• be responsible for staffing the reception desk at York House and welcoming visitors;
• support members of the Royal Collection department, including answering the telephone, diary and travel management, opening and distributing post and dealing with correspondence;
• assist with the preparation of Private Views at The Queen’s Galleries;
• maintain stationery supplies; and
• assist with the organisation of Departmental Open Days.
Person Specification
We are looking for someone with:

• excellent IT skills with a thorough knowledge of MS Office packages;
• the ability to communicate confidently both face-to-face and over the phone with a wide range of individuals;
• good prioritisation and time management skills; and
• a flexible and positive attitude to work.
