Bellona Europa recruits trainee
Are you eager to help make a difference in the fight against global warming? Are you self-driven, flexible and eager to learn?
The environmental NGO Bellona is recruiting a trainee at our office in Brussels – Bellona Europa – starting 3 September 2012 for a duration of 6 months.
Bellona Europa’s advocacy is focused on strengthening of climate change policies, both at the EU level and in selected Member States. Our office is small but covers a broad range of issues, so we are eager to make the most out of our trainees.
The successful candidate will have:
  • a master’s degree, including a foundation in European studies and/or environmental policy
  • preferably some EU policy-related working experience
  • fluent English and ability to work in a Scandinavian language
  • excellent written expression
  • above average IT skills
  • an eye for precision and accuracy
  • a flair for human relations
Your tasks will vary greatly from day to day. Examples include helping with the organisation of events at the European Parliament, researching forthcoming legislation and drafting of policy briefs, attending conferences as a Bellona representative and writing articles and opinion pieces for the Bellona web.
We can offer a young, positive working environment – and topics that are amongst the most crucial for our future. Positive, flexible and hard-working people will have a steep learning curve. Basic living expenses will be covered.
Contact: Please send cover letter and CV to eivind@bellona.org.
Deadline: 1 July 2012
