Vice President - Senior Java Developer - Global Compliance - Andiamo Partners
This position will give you the opportunity to be a senior member and leader in a global development team responsible for the design and development of various CES applications.
- Drive application architecture and implementation choices
- Implement some of the more difficult or critical components of a project.
- Provide technical oversight and mentoring to developers,
- Lead junior developers in design sessions and code reviews
- Enforce coding and design standards.
- Champion strong development processes and controls while contributing with hands-on development
- Constant and significant interaction with Compliance Technology management, including communicating project status and technology strategy
Desired Skills & Experience
Basic Qualifications:
The following technical skills are considered mandatory:
- Java: 8+ years
- Object-oriented development: 6+ years
- Relational database experience, preferably UDB

The successful candidate will also:
- Demonstrate strong problem solving & analytical skills. You are hands-on and take ownership of issues to ensure follow-through.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and adapt to changing business requirements
- Strong communication skills are essential; you should feel comfortable working with a global group that both welcomes and challenges new ideas.
- A proven track record in object oriented design and development, both client and server side, backed up by real-project implementation experience.
- Working understanding of development lifecycle, development methodologies and best practices
- Self-starter - must be able to take loosely expressed problems or requirements and progress these to deliver well analyzed solutions
- Experience with J2SE, JDBC, XML/XSL, ORM Technologies, Source Code Control and Build Techniques
