Agricultural Productivity Assistance Project

The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Agricultural Productivity Assistance Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services of international consultant on Training and Extension Services for Measures against Adverse Weather. The services include support to the ABCC in detailed design and operational aspects of training and extension activities in the field of measures against adverse weather to be financed under the APAP project. Based on the training plan developed, provide technical assistance through a train-the-trainers (ToT) arrangement.

The result of these consultant services will be:

•Assisted to ABCC in the selection of local trainers;
•Prepared training needs assessment of beneficiaries and on the basis of it prepared a Training of Trainers Plan;
•Provided initial training to Local trainers;
•Prepared coaching strategy for local trainers;
•Produced an evaluation report on the trainees, with a strategy for their further capacity building (on the job coaching further in class training if necessary);
•Submitted to ABCC a report on the training programs and materials used for ABCC's possible future use.

The assignment requires that at a minimum, the individual consultants on Training and Extension Services for Measures against Adverse Weather should have:

•Higher education in the sphere of agriculture, ICT, natural sciences;
•Professional minimum work experience in the sphere of hydrometeorology and in the sphere agriculture of at least 7 years;
•General professional work experience in sphere of agriculture for more than 10 years – is an advantage;
•Experience in training and transferring knowledge, at least – 5 years.

The Agribusiness Competitiveness Center now invites eligible individual consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested individual consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services and CVs.
