Hope Downs 4 is Rio Tinto Iron Ore's latest Greenfield mine, situated approximately 35km north-west of Newman. Hope Downs 4 is a joint venture between Rio Tinto and Hancock Prospecting, 100% operated by Rio Tinto, producing 15Mtpa Saleable Ore Product with a life span of 14 years. Currently under construction, the Open pit operation will offer state- of-the-art accommodation facilities along with a family friendly roster.
Following the initial operational pre-strip works, Hope Downs 4 is now recruiting for Trade Qualified Professionals to join their expanding team for their Phase 2, which will commence in September 2012. Hope Downs 4 will offer employees an attractive 8 days on / 6 days off lifestyle roster fly in fly out from Perth. We will also fly eligible employees to Perth from within Australia to meet the commute flight to site, in accordance with Rio Tinto Iron Ore's National Fly In Fly Out Scheme.
This is an exciting and rare opportunity that will allow you to be involved in starting up a mine from the very beginning, and assisting in shaping it to become a highly efficient operation that others wish to be a part of.
We are currently looking for Trades professionals such as:
- High Voltage Electrician
- Auto Electrician
- MEM Boilermaker
- HD Fitter
You must be able to demonstrate the flexibility and willingness to operate any of the equipment as required, and perform a multitude of differing tasks as is necessary to ensure the successful ramp up schedule and to maintain steady state operations. A strong ability to deal with change will also necessary.
You must hold safety as a core value, a proven ability to perform at a high level, and a passion for being part of the solution. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is also desirable.
Phase 2 will commence from September 2012
