Team Leader for the project on Improvement of Mother and Child Health Services in Uzbekistan

Purpose

Under the general guidance of the Deputy Representative and the Chief of Health Section of UNICEF Uzbekistan, the Team Leader will be responsible for day-to-day management, coordination, partnership and donor reporting of the IMCHS project.

Qualifications and Competencies

Advanced university degree, preferably in the Public Health, Health Management and Administration or other relevant field.
• 10 years of relevant work experience at national and international levels in MCH, Health Administration/Management and Health System Strengthening including international work experience.
• Fluency in English and Russian languages. Experience of Central Asian or CIS countries context is an asset.
• Communicates effectively to varied audiences, including during formal public speaking;
• Sets high standards for quality of work and consistently achieves project goals;
• Able to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment;
• Analyzes and integrates potentially conflicting numerical, verbal and other data from a number of sources;
• Translates strategic direction into plans and objectives;
• Quickly builds rapport with individuals and groups; maintains an effective network of individuals across organizational departments;
• Contributes and tries out innovative approaches and insights.
