INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT) Assistant - IntraHealth International, Uganda

The goal of USAID Uganda’s five-year (2012-2017) Northern Uganda – Health Integration to Enhance Services (NU-HITES) project led by Plan International is to increase the availability and demand for essential health services in 15 project districts while strengthening and improving the overall quality of Northern Uganda’s health system. IntraHealth is a subcontractor to Plan International on the NU-HITES project providing technical assistance in Systems Strengthening and Quality and Performance Improvement. This position will be located at the NU-HITES project office in Gulu.
INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT) Assistant:
  • will support the ICT Technical Advisors in implementing HMIS related project activities by overseeing all financial and administrative logistics, in coordination with the project finance staff, related to meetings, training events, and other activities including arranging for training sites, transport and meals for HMIS/ICT activities.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • 2-3 years' experience in computer science and/or related computer support functions.
  • Ability to develop plans and budgets.
  • Excellent public relations skills including courteousness, tact and good verbal communications.
  • Proven ability to work independently and self-motivated; also work cooperatively with Microsoft office software.
  • Excellent financial and organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent time manager.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge and experience with accounting software packages such as QuickBooks.
  • Ability to effectively communicate project financial information to a variety of different audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact professionally with diverse people, clients and consultants.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Power Point; Outlook.
