Junior Researcher – Jakarta, Indonesia – AusAID funded Poverty Reduction Support Facility (PRSF)
PRSF is a joint facility between AusAID and the Government of Indonesia to improve the quality of policy advice for poverty programs in Indonesia.
The short term junior researcher consultant as an input to the design of a demand-side accountability intervention, will conduct field based research to provide (1) mapping of institutions and actors influencing health service delivery outcomes and (2) identify opportunities which empower rural communities and to engage constructively with local health providers to modify the incentive structures they are facing.
To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated:
- Experience conducting qualitative research on community driven development programs or community-level health service delivery (minimum 2 studies);
- Very strong in written and spoken Indonesian, with an ability to write strong, analytical reports;
- Ability to work highly independently within framework set by team, under conditions of a tight deadline;
- Masters degree in relevant social science discipline with 3-5 years of experience in conducting qualitative research.
The researchers will form a team as part of the Review of Accountability in Basic Health and Education Service Delivery in Indonesia and Design of Demand-side Accountability Pilot in PNPM Generasi. Click here for the concept note for further details on the study.
