Job PurposeTo implement the Hala Abu Dhabi (DMC) business plan by developing and obtaining profitable new accounts and distribution channels to maximize revenue and profit generation through effective and innovative sales strategies and dynamic leadership. To identify overall growth opportunities, set growth targets and ensure existing sales targets are met or exceeded.
Responsibilities
  • To identify opportunities that contribute to achievement/ exceeding Hala’s commercial revenue targets and budgets.
  • Identify potential new accounts and markets for Hala around the Etihad network, and agree new contracts as appropriate.
  • Develop a strategic sales approach for targeted accounts, including direct supervision and co-ordination of the sales process where required.
  • Provide motivation, leadership, coaching and direction for the Account Managers, Team Leaders and Agents to ensure sales opportunities are maximized.
  • Ensure timely and effective responses to issues identified in business performance, competitor activities and market trends.
  • Design and implement a Hala business development strategy through a business planning process in line with Etihad corporate objectives, working closely with Hala GM to ensure revenue targets are achieved.
  • Co-ordinate or participate in client and prospective client functions/activities/trade shows to improve knowledge of Hala products and benefits.
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with current and prospective clients and key contacts.
  • Hold regular team meetings with management and the Hala team to discuss sales initiatives, marketing dynamics etc supported by weekly reporting of sales activity.
  • Develop short and long-term sales strategies and utilize cost effective sales and distribution channels, improving revenue/cost ratios.
Requirements

Qualification & Education:

  • University degree preferably in business or a commensurate level of management experience.

Experience:

  • Post holder must have a minimum of 5- 7 years sales experience in the travel industry, with at least 5yearsof people management and sales and marketing.

Training & Knowledge:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High computer literacy
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills
  • Sales negotiation skills
  • Fluent in English and Arabic; additional other language(s) preferred
  • Familiarity with corporate financial data and reports including management accounting reports
