OECD Director In France


The OECD’s mission – Better Policies for Better Lives – promotes policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world. It provides a unique forum in which governments work together to share experiences on what drives economic, social and environmental change, seeking solutions to common problems.
The work of the Employment, Labour and Social Affairs (ELS) at the OECD contributes to the Organisation’s mission in assisting member countries and other economies, including emerging economies, in a broad range of policy areas, including employment, labour, skills, social, health and international migration.
We are looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial individual who will provide leadership and strategic direction and be a key member of the Senior Management Team of the Organisation. S/he will support the strategic orientations of the Secretary-General in the areas of work of this directorate, and will foster co-operation with other areas of the Organisation. S/he will coach other managers as they develop and deliver a complex programme of work and will contribute towards the Organisation’s goal of supporting member and partner countries in improving their policy setting.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the Directorate’s main policy areas through work at senior level in a national administration, international organisation or research institute. S/he will have strong leadership, excellent political skills and innovative strategic thinking.
This position requires fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English or French) and a good working knowledge of the other.
