1.   JOB PURPOSE
To enhance the effectiveness and operational efficiency of IPPF South Asia Region (SAR) by overseeing the design and implementation of IT systems, procedures and processes across the Region.
2.   KEY TASKS
1.     Coordinate and be responsible for the Regional Strategy on IT system design, strengthening and deployment (including review and development of overall as well as country-specific strategies) in the Member Associations (MAs) and at the South Asia Regional Office (SARO).
2.     Plan, implement and monitor performance of all IT systems in terms of:
a)     Deployment and utilization of resources
b)     Development of people
c)     Deployment and stabilization of systems and processes
d)     Reach
e)     Quality
f)      Cost
g)     Time
3.     Develop and disseminate guidelines, policies, standards and technical tools relating to IT system across the Region.
4.     Be responsible for the up-gradation of knowledge and skills of people engaged with IT systems strengthening and deployment of integrated solutions. In doing so,
a)     Bring together and make available the knowledge of various actors in the field of overall IT system (including hardware, software, networking, security systems, etc.), and
b)     Coordinate IT system strengthening-related training for SARO and MA staff and volunteers.
5.     Be the focal point for IT systems design, strengthening and deployment in the Region, the IPPF Central Office (CO), London and SAR MAs.
6.     Build and reinforce external relationships, coalitions and participate in conferences, events, etc.
7.     Ensure that any IT intervention in an MA in the Region is undertaken in collaboration with the concerned Director in SARO.
8.     Provide feedback periodically to the Management Group (MG) at SARO and any other relevant body/agency.
9.     Undertake any other reasonable tasks/duties as may be requested from time to time.
3.   RESPONSIBILITIES
a)   Staff responsibilities carried out by the job holder.
      IT function of One Executive and Facility Management Service (FMS) provider.
b)   Financial responsibilities carried out by the job holder.
Responsible for the financial allocation on IT system design, implementation and strengthening under the overall guidance of the Director (Finance and IT)
 
c)   Advisory responsibilities carried out by the job holder.
·         Advise the Regional Director, Directors and Programme Officers (POs) at SARO on IT system related initiatives.
·         Advise the MAs in the Region on IT system related initiatives.
4.   EDUCATION and QUALIFICATIONS
Post-graduate degree in Management or computer application or any other professional degree.
5.   PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
·         Minimum five years’ experience in IT system design, strengthening and implementation in a large entity.
·         Knowledge and experience of working with multi-sector teams in deploying and/or operationalising organization-wide IT solutions.
·         Knowledge about and working with bespoke and COTS solutions.
·         Thorough technical knowledge on IT system strengthening issues.

Minimum annual gross salary for the above position is Rs1,315,800
