Uganda Communications Commission ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Job title: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Reports to: Administrator

Job role: Provide administrational support to all aspects of the Human Resources & Administration Department functions and strategies in line with the Department's mission.


Key Result Areas

  • Take initiative on requests and inquiries of administrative nature & ensure that all requests for service are logged and directed to the appropriate Officer for action;
  • Update and follow up on delegated tasks to ensure progress to deadlines;
  • Ensure filing systems are maintained and up to date;
  • Transfer and dispose records according to retention schedules and policies;
  • Maintain office services as well as office records
  • Recommend management action to improve standard operating procedures;
  • Present comparisons on costs, risks and benefits;
  • Routinely re-order Office Supplies and submit Consumables Report; and
  • Update the Commission asset register.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Social sciences or Management; and
  • Must be computer literate especially Microsoft Office

Experience and knowledge

  • At least two (2) years experience in Administrative duties in a busy environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Strong interpersonal skills; and
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
