 The UK Department for International Development (DFID) is leading the British Government's fight against world poverty. DFID's Bangladesh Office, based in Dhaka, requires a knowledgeable, experienced and enthusiastic Private Sector Adviser (at Grade A2) with relevant private sector and policy experience to join a dynamic international team. If you are successful, you will play a key part in delivering on the ambitious results in DFID's Operational Plan for Bangladesh 2011-15, working with a wide range of partners across the country (see www.dfid.gov.uk/Where-we-work/).

Your Role

You will contribute to private sector policy and strategy formulation and implementation by the Growth & Private Sector and other teams, across DFID Bangladesh, and in DFID more widely.

You will ensure that DFID’s Growth & Private Sector programmes are implemented effectively to deliver results and ensure value for money.

You will build and maintain strong networks with relevant individuals and teams in Government of Bangladesh (GoB), other DFID offices, and other donor organisations.
