Type of employment: 2 years, temporary position (start date – November 2012).
Tasks/Responsibilities: Assist our professional staff and work independently on EU affairs.
We are currently looking for an EU affairs researcher to cover EU energy policies with a special emphasis on EU relations with key energy producing regions.

Skills/Experience: Master's degree or equivalent.

Personal qualities: Profound knowledge of EU institutions, preferably experience from working as a trainee within the EU system. The ideal candidate should also have dealt with energy related issues in some form. English is the working language of the office. Strong analytical abilities and communication skills are essential.

A professional, open and flexible attitude is highly valued in a small, multi-cultural office like ours.

Career opportunities: After completion of the contract, a top performing researcher may be offered permanent employment within Statoil. This requires readiness to move to corporate headquarters.
