The Organisation
QGC is a leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on supplying cleaner hydrocarbon energy to growing domestic and international markets.
We are establishing Queensland Curtis LNG, a world-first project to turn reserves of natural coal seam gas in the Surat and Bowen basins in Queensland into liquefied natural gas (LNG) – a carbon efficient fuel. Position Summary
Contracts Administrator will be responsible for providing support to QCLNG in order to develop, implement, and administer contracting strategies that meet C&P requirements.

Key Accountabilities
Core AccountabilitiesPosition Specific• Act as key point of contact for C&P within QCLNG Projects. • Establishing C&P plans for area of responsibility which have fluctuating workload implications (will need proactive management approach including consideration of outsourcing and temporary team increases from time to time). • Responsible for compiling, co-ordinating and implementing evaluation procedures necessary to implement project execution strategies and C&P plans. • Responsible for post award contracts administration. • Following a thorough and systematic approach in managing contractual matters between company and contractor and preparing commercial and contractual correspondence during the implementation of the contracts (with appropriate use of company contracts management system ‘ProCon’). • Ensuring tracking systems are maintained for all contractual correspondence. • Maintaining tracking registers of Contract Values and VOs. • Lead C&P to evaluate contractor’s claims and recommend an equitable adjustment pursuant to the General Conditions of the Contract. • Provide support on contractual disputes, including making recommendations on rights, remedies and mediation. • Report and maintain the following: o Weekly summary activity, including design, access issues and engineering holds o Report of quantities installed vs. total quantities o Weekly progress curve showing actual % calculated from earned quantities o Man-hours per Facility by craft of actual vs. planned staffing o Schedule showing actual progress to date o Program S curve based on % complete and histogram based on actual manning o Monitor RFA, RFI, FCR and NCR register. o Cash flow forecast showing planned/actual invoicing o Rolling 120 days schedule and personnel by craft showing 1 week actual progress and a 3 week look ahead forecast. • Maintain Inwards and Outwards correspondence • Provides input to the processing of monthly progress claims People Management• The contractor must abide by company policy in relation to HR policies and procedures such as annual HR cycle and meet deadlines within the appropriate timeframes Health Safety Security and Environment (HSSE)• Upholding and ensuring compliance with QGC’s HSSE requirements and business principles, both within the organization, and with contractors/subcontractors • Every individual has a duty to both themselves and those around them to ensure that safe practice is adhered to at all times. In addition to any specific accountabilities for HSSE, all Contractors are accountable for HSSE within their area of the Business and are responsible for ensuring that their team (if applicable) adopt exemplary HSSE behaviours • All QGC Contractors are expected to be aware of, and adhere to the Business Principles at all times under Conduct, Our People, Society and HSSE and to participate in relevant training | ||||||||||||||||||||||
Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Experience Required
• Substantial experience in contracts and procurement within the Oil & Gas industry
• Substantial experience in contract management / administration – specifically Site Contract Administration • Wide experience administering different contract types including lump sum EPIC, EPC, Unit Rate and reimbursable contracts in particular. • Detailed market knowledge of a minimum of 3 key industry market areas (i.e. CBM, onshore construction, engineering and procurement, etc)
