Introduction
​Aga Khan University - Institute for Educational Development (AKU-IED) was established in July 1993 with the overall objective of becoming a leader in educational reform and improvement, especially in developing countries. The aim of the Institute is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of schools and other educational institutions in the country through innovation, policy development, practice, training and research.
AKU-IED offers PhD, Master of Education, Advanced Diploma and Certificate programmes for classroom teachers and educational leaders and managers.
Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor or Senior Instructor (Programme Monitoring, Evaluation and Assessment of Learning Outcomes).
Responsibilities
​The incumbent will:
  • teach in the Masters and PhD programmes of Education 
  • supervise research dissertations and theses
  • undertake independent research and other scholarly activities
  • carry out administrative responsibilities.
Requirements
​Applicants must possess:
  • a PhD degree in Education
  • record of success in teaching, research, academic writing and publishing
  • a minimum of five years’ related work experience and three research publication(s)  in national and international peer-reviewed HEC recognized journals for Assistant Professor level 
  • a minimum of two years’ experience and  one research publication  in an HEC recognized journal for Senior Instructor level.
