Who we are looking for

The Business Recovery Services Team comprises circa 40 professionals across Birmingham and the East Midlands. We provide a range of services including financial restructuring, operational restructuring, insolvency and pensions credit advisory to lenders, corporates and other stakeholders. 

We work across all industries and sectors, with clients ranging from local SME’s to larger national, international and listed businesses. We also have a growing team that provides advisory services to government and public sector clients (primarily healthcare).

    About the role

    We're looking for senior associates on a permanent contract, based in either the Birmingham or East Midlands office.
    The role is likely to involve working in small teams on a number of distinct projects, producing reports/presentations for a wide range of clients/stakeholders (advisory work), and potentially on-site experience of dealing with a business in insolvency (executory work).
    We are working increasingly on a Deals Team-wide basis, so the role would involve exposure to working on projects with other Lines of Service in the Deals Team, in particular Transaction Services and Corporate Finance.

      Requirements

      • Essential - ACA/ACCA qualified 
      • Sound financial analytical skills, including use of Microsoft Excel
      • Strong commercial awareness and a genuine interest in how businesses work
      • Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable communicating with all levels 
      • Flexibility in terms of diverse industries and role 
      • Willingness to participate in marketing and business development
      • A commitment to continued personal development
      • Proven project and time management skills 
      • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a pressurised working environment
      • Flexibility where required as to working location
      • Excellent verbal and written English 
      • Report writing skills including use of Microsoft Powerpoint (Including ‘Smart’ – preferred but not essential)
