Who we are looking for

PwC's busy and successful South East Assurance practice is looking to recruit an audit Manager in Norwich.
This current opportunity has arisen due to the success and growth of the practice which presents further career progression and development potential for the successful applicants.
As a you will have a key role on audit assignments, as a result, this role will provide you with an excellent opportunity to develop your personal and technical skills.
In addition to developing your personal and technical skills, the role will offer you:
  • Experience of leading highly prestigious accounts and pieces of work
  • Exposure to senior management and partners of the firm
  • Exposure to current thinking in Corporate Governance and Risk Management
  • Leading implementer for International Accounting Standards
You will also gain exposure to high profile, complex and judgement issues.

About the role

As a Manager you will work in teams, varying in size.  You will have overall responsibility to deliver service to clients, including:
  • Providing audit and business advice to a variety of clients
  • Managing a client portfolio
  • Managing and supervising work of staff members and delivery to the client
  • Managing the day to day client relationships
  • Staff management and coaching responsibilities
  • Development of new business relationships and generating revenues
In addition to developing your personal and technical skills, the role will offer you:

Joining as a Manager in Core Assurance, a large part of your role will be within Audit but a growing piece of our business is around risk advisory, transactions and non-audit assurance and we would look to be challenging our assurance Senior Associates to help develop this in the market and execute the work.

What are the role requirements?

Essential requirements:
  • CA (Chartered Accountant) qualified or equivalent
  • Experience of financial reporting frameworks such as UK GAAP or IFRS and auditing frameworks such as UK ISAs
  • Experience of management of the audit from planning to supervision and review of the process, across a diverse range of assignments
  • Experienced in supervising and developing staff
  • Flexibility in your approach to meeting goals as part of the team
  • Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients at all levels
  • A proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationships and providing exceptional client service
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and delivering client solutions
  • Candidates will also be required to demonstrate the ability to contribute to new initiatives, whether building relationships with target clients or other business development activities
  • A reasonable degree of flexibility in relation to travel will be expected to serve the regional nature of our client base
  • Demonstrable strong analytical skills and organisational abilities
  • Well developed listening and questioning techniques
  • Action oriented with a strong desire for continuous improvement
