Job description:
Unique career opportunity to join a recently created growing operation, as the North American Service Center only became an operating entity in February of 2013. You will enjoy this challenge if you are “hands on”, you like Operations in general, and you have a keen interest in learning about logistics operations and Service Center controlling.

Your immediate mission will be, of course, to transition the Business Control function, as well as to gain an understanding of the NSC operations in order to manage the cross-business area cost allocation process.

As Service Center controller, you will support and contribute towards the Group’s Logistics Mission pillars: Customer Satisfaction, Operational Efficiency, Total Logistics Cost Efficiency, Sustainability, and Adaptability.

In order to succeed in the above, the ideal candidate will play a key role in:

·Consolidating NSC as an operating / reporting entity, and contributing to putting reports, KPI’s, and processes in place that will safeguard the integrity of the operation.
·Contributing to the further development and standardization of financial and non-financial (logistics) KPI’s, along with systems and processes to support positive development, and/or help identify early red flags.
·Updating SLA agreements on a regular basis, with main drivers being flexibility (possibility of adapting keys to follow business trends), transparency, and fairness.
·Facilitating the connection and set up of new entities (domestic and overseas) to order to NSC via Dispatch – provide support where needed, and be the main contact in NSC to facilitate training and BPCS set up.
·Contributing to the development and standardization of global financial and non-financial reporting templates with focus on Distribution Centers servicing multiple business areas and product lines (direct or via SLA).
·Putting in practice, and executing, the 9-Box concept in conjunction with the your team’s training and competence development needs. 
·As part of the Management Team, you should lead by example and contribute to and actively support the company’s culture of: 
(1) Safety and Zero Accidents in the entire organization, 
(2) Continuous improvement, and
(3) Development of new business concepts that will contribute to improving customer service levels, operational efficiency or cost efficiency.

Mission:
This role's immediate mission will be to transition the Business Control function, as well as to gain an understanding of the NSC operations in order to manage the cross-business area cost allocation process.

Experience requirements:
3-5 years experience in service accounting, customer center controlling.
- Good working knowledge of “The Way We Do Things” and BCoP
- Ability to work within a fast paced environment as a strong participating team member
- Operations or Logistics a plus

Knowledge:
Fluent in English. Other languages not mandatory but an advantage
- Familiar with Group accounting principles and local statutory rules
- Must have a solid knowledge and experience of Finance, operations, administration procedures and information systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proven track record of providing excellent business control and support service
- Has a genuine interest in all aspects of the business operation, and an ability to lead projects in the area of business control
- Strong understanding of BCoP

Educational requirements:
Degree in Accounting or similar academic background.

It operates out of two facilities located in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a foot print of total 215,000 square feet. The service center ships over 800,000 spare parts order lines per year, for which it manages over USD 30 million in stock on hand and stocks over 20,000 SKU’s. 
The NSC currently supports the aftermarket business of Atlas Copco Compressors, Beacon Medaes, Multibrand Compressors (Pneumatech and CP brands), Quincy Compressors, Atlas Copco Construction Technique, and CP Tools.
