Chief Analyst

The Department for Education is the UK government department with responsibility for schools and children’s services. Our vision for Education is unambiguous; equality of opportunity for children and young people regardless of their background. Our reforms to the school system will raise standards of educational attainment and result in more freedom and autonomy for schools.
The Chief Analyst will be an exceptional thinker who will effect a real change in the way the Department presents and uses data and research. The successful candidate will need to balance a deep understanding of analytical disciplines with an ability to engage and inspire people – within and beyond the profession. We are also advertising the role of Director of Strategy and Performance and will consider applications from candidates who wish to be considered for both roles; both roles require strategic leadership, strong intellectual and communication skills.
We are looking for people who share our commitment to transforming the country’s education system and improving the lives of children and young people.
